Mrs. Hornsby
November 17-21

This week the students will be introduced to the letter J. We will begin our week listing words on the board that begin with this letter. We will practice the sound and we will practice writing the J. The class will learn a rhyme using the letter as I introduce them to Jenny Jellyfish.
For our science activity we will talk about the jellyfish. I will share a nonfiction book about jellyfish with the class. The students will be given the opportunity to ask questions, and I will point out three important characteristics to them about the jellyfish.
Our number for the week will be “12”. We will review the oval shape and the colors blue and white. We will continue to practice using our scissors as well.
For art the students will create jellyfish puppets using paper plates and crepe paper streamers!
Enjoy your week,
Mrs. Hornsby
